FC Porto signs partnership to open Dragon Force school in Mexico

FC Porto is taking another step towards internationalizing its training methodology by announcing the opening of the first Dragon Force by FC Porto Soccer School in Mexico. The city chosen for this new project is Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo León.

The new school is the result of a strategic partnership with Dinámica Empresarial GOL (DE GOL), a company specializing in the management of sports academies in the region, which has two sports facilities with seven soccer pitches (sizes 5, 7 and 11) and complementary structures dedicated to the all-round development of athletes, such as nutrition and psychology services.

The official kick-off of Dragon Force Monterrey will take place in the last weeks of July, with an FC Porto World Camp, which will be attended by two Technical Coordinators from the Club's schools, guaranteeing the direct implementation of the recognized Porto methodology.

This is yet another moment in the internationalization of the FC Porto brand, as part of a global strategy that is taking place at a special time, when the club is preparing to begin its journey in the FIFA Club World Cup, which is taking place in the United States.

Javier Garza, President of DE GOL, says: "Training part of FC Porto through Dragon Force in Monterrey fills us with pride. Not only do we represent the colors of a club with history and worldwide prestige, but we also share a common passion for soccer, fuelled by a training methodology that is internationally recognized for its excellence and results."

For Ricardo Frey-Ramos, Executive Manager of Dragon Force, "the opening of the new Dragon Force by FC Porto Monterrey soccer school is a great boost for FC Porto's ambitious expansion plan for the next eight years". "The management of DE GOL recognizes the competence, passion and commitment with which we work, and they will be important partners in the consolidation of Dragon Force in Mexico," he predicts.

Miguel Layún, Héctor Herrera, Diego Reyes and Jesús Corona are some of the Mexican talents who have shone in the blue and white jersey, and it is with this inspiration that FC Porto is betting on discovering and training new stars in the country.
